A Case of Pancytopenia and Related Findings Complicating Primary Sjögren's Syndrome

Abstract

Sjögren's Syndrome, a common observed autoimmune disorder, should be considered in the differential diagnosis of apparently idiopathic cytopenias. In Sjögren's Syndrome, pancytopenia is observed rarely. In this case, we report a 50 years old woman patient. The patient is diagnosed as primary Sjögren's Syndrome by reason of the further examinations and she applied with hemolytic anemia, thrombocytopenia, neutropenia which are accompanied with fever and other clinical symptoms related to pancytopenia.

Sjögren Sendromu sık gözlenen otoimmün bir hastalık olup, belirgin idyopatik sitopenilerin ayırıcı tanısında düşünülmesi gerekmektedir. Sjögren Sendromunda pansitopeni sık gözlenen bir durum değildir. Bu olguda ileri tetkikler sonucunda primer Sjögren Sendromu tanısı alan hemolitik anemi, trombositopeni, ateşin eşlik ettiği nötropeni ve pansitopeni ile ilişkili diğer klinik bulgularla başvuran 50 yaşında bir kadın hastayı sunmaktayız.
