Abstract
Head trauma is an important health issue during childhood and is the most frequent cause of mortality and morbidity during
this period. Ischemic cerebral infarct following minor head traumas is seen at regions supplied by the middle cerebral artery, while the vertebra–basilar system is involved to a lesser degree. In this manuscript, we presented the case of a 7-month-old boy who presented with hemiparesis following head trauma, in which basilar artery dissection-related infarction and hypertrophic olivary degeneration were detected.
