Hypersensitivity pneumonia is a condition that defines hypersensitivity reaction in the lungs of the sensitive individuals with various inhaled antigens. The male patient at the age of 53 and who has the history of smoking, feeding birds for long years and the complaints of coughing, fever and dyspnea admitted to hospital. Due to respiratory failure, mechanical ventilation, non-specific antibiotic therapy and steroid inhalation were applied. We thought of publishing this case report as the patient had been feeding birds for a long time, the clinical charts were similar to the one of the Bird-Feeder Disease that was a rarely seen disease.

Hipersevsensitivite pnömonisi; antijenik materyallerin inhalasyonu sonucu gelişen akciğer hastalığıdır. Sigara içme, uzun yıllardır kuş besleme ve nefes darlığı hikayesi olan 53 yaşında erkek olgu, ateş, öksürük şikayetleriyle hastaneye başvurdu. Gelişen solunum yetmezliği üzerine tedavide mekanik ventilasyon, nonspesifik antibiyotik ve inhaler streoid başlandı. Olgu, kuşlarla uzun süreli temas hikayesinin olması, klinik tablonun hipersensitivite pnömonisinin alt grubu olan kuş besleyicisi hastalığı ile uyumlu olması, ayırıcı tanıda akla gelen diğer etkenlerin laboratuvar bulgularıyla ekarte edilmesi ve nadir görülen bir hastalık olması nedenleri ile sunuldu.
