Duane retraction syndrome is an ocular motility disorder with a number of congenital systemic and eye abnormalities. Altough, numerous theories concerning the etiology and the pathogenesis of this syndrome are present, still the exact mechanism can not be explained. Fuchs uveitis syndrome is an inflammatory disease of the uvea, thought to be triggered by otoimmunity or some microbial agents. Here, we present a case with two syndromes in the one eye. These syndromes have no known causal association with each other, and although they occur often, their occurrence together is uncommon.

Duane retraksiyon sendromu, doğumsal birçok sistemik ve göz bozuklukluğun eşlik edebildiği göz hareket bozukluğudur. Hastalığın etyoloji ve patogenezini açıklamaya yönelik birtakım teoriler olsa da gerçek mekanizması tam olarak açıklanamamıştır. Fuchs üveiti sendromu ise otoimmün veya bazı mikrobial ajanların yol açtığı düşünülen uveanin iltihabi bir hastalığıdır. Burada, iki sendromun tek gözde beraberliğini sunuyoruz. Birbirleriyle nedensel ilişkileri bulunmayan bu sendromlar, her ne kadar sık görülseler de beraberlikleri nadirdir.
